What your rank means

Most people who search the App Store never scroll past the first few screens. Where you land decides your next move.

  • #1–10

    Keep it

This keyword works. Leave it in your name or subtitle and protect it with ratings.

  • #11–50

    Push it

You're close. Moving the word into the name or subtitle, or a few more ratings in that country, is often enough.

  • #51–200

    Check the field

Compare your ratings with the top 10. If they have thousands and you have tens, aim for a narrower keyword.

  • 200+

    Rethink it

Outside the top 200, or not sold in that country. Apple may not link this word to your app yet.

  3. 03

    Read 10 storefronts

Your browser asks Apple's public search for the top 200 in each country and finds your app in them.

Questions

Something else? hello@rankmint.app

Where do the ranks come from?

From Apple's public iTunes Search API, called from your browser. It usually matches what the App Store app shows, but search on an iPhone can differ slightly by device and search history.

Why does the rank check stop at 200?

Apple's search returns at most 200 apps per keyword, so an app below that shows as 200+.

Why isn't my app ranked in a country?

It ranks below 200 there, or it isn't sold in that storefront. Check the app's availability in App Store Connect first.

Which countries does the rank checker cover?

The United States, India, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Japan, Brazil and Spain. The first three are free for everyone; the other seven unlock when you join the waitlist.

Does Rankmint store my app or keyword?

No. The check runs in your browser and goes straight to Apple. We only keep your email if you join the waitlist.

One keyword tells you where you are. Rankmint tells you where to go.

It checks hundreds of keywords in 20 countries, writes the winners into App Store Connect and tracks your rank after release. $19 for the first 10 buyers, then $5 more every 10 sales, one-time.
